July 4th fun in the Sun in Las Vegas

The fun begins early for the July 4th festivities in Las Vegas.

Free concerts, fireworks, pool parties and all the exciting party promotions you’d expect in Sin City on 4th of July. The fun begins this weekend and goes all week. Since July 4th falls on a Wednesday, some of the Strip casino’s offer fireworks this Saturday June 30th while the off Strip casino’s offer them on the holiday.


4th of July Billy Ray Cyrus

Fremont Street’s free concert series continues over July 4th ‘80s and ‘90s country icon Billy Ray Cyrus takes the 3rd Street stage on July 4 at 7:30 p.m. 

Be prepared as the summer heat and packed bodies will make these Fremont concerts hot and crowded, so bring or buy water and dress and plan accordingly.


July 4th Celebrations at the LINQ

This family-friendly event is the perfect way to spend an afternoon while celebrating this festive holiday weekend.

Enjoy live musical performances, face-painting, balloon-animal makers, games, caricature artists, and much more. In the evening, the LINQ Promenade will feature more adult-oriented entertainment with live shows scheduled throughout the evenings.

For the perfect view of the city — and the festivities below — head to the top of the High Roller Observation Wheel – it will be festively lit in red, white, and blue, of course.

Pool Parties in Las Vegas


One thing Vegas is known for in the summer is its lively selection of pool clubs and parties.

Given the extreme heat and festive atmosphere of the holiday, you can be sure that crowds will flock to the pools during this 4th of July weekend.

Please note that these tours are for adults aged 21 or older only.

The World Series of Poker:

If you’re a card player, poker enthusiast, or just looking to hang with some of the best gamblers in the world, then head to​ The Rio ​for ​The World Series of Poker. ​

Every year from late May until mid July, the WSOP ​entices players from all around the world to come and compete in the most difficult poker tournaments of the year.

The best of the best come out in pursuit of winning a gold bracelet, and even more so, the millions up for grabs in The Main Event will run from July 2-14. 


Where to watch the July 4th Fireworks



Fireworks shot from the Julius Tower starts at 9:15pm lasting around 13 1/2 minutes.

Best viewing area: At the front fountains of Caesars Palace.




Starting at 10pm, the short show will have a run time of about 4 minutes. The rooftop pool will be free to the public, opening their doors at 7pm. Fremont St. will also be displaying their famous virtual fireworks on the overhead canopy.

Best viewing area: Plaza’s rooftop pool area




Fireworks show starts at 9pm lasting around 9 minutes.

Best viewing area: Backyard pool area inside the resort.




Just like its sister property, Green Valley Ranch, the shows starts at 9pm and lasts 9 minutes.

Best viewing area: Pool area and amphitheater inside the resort.




With a 9pm start time, Mandalay Bay will continue its firework tradition, after a brief hiatus last year, following The Mystic Roots Band in concert, who will be performing at 8pm. Prices for entry to the concert and Mandalay Beach are: $32.14 for one ticket, or $29.30 if you buy two tickets.

Best viewing area: Swimming pool/Mandalay Beach area.




The show will start at 9:15 pm from The Stratosphere’s parking garage. Stratosphere viewing parties are still TBD at this time.

Best viewing area: Stratosphere Observation Deck.

Other excellent viewing sites include Skyfall Lounge at the top of Delano, Foundation Room at the top of Mandalay Bay, Ghostbar at the top of the Palms and Voodoo Lounge at the top of The Rio. You can also enjoy a tasty dinner while enjoying the fireworks displays; the restaurants with the best views are Mix at Delano, Alize at the Palms, Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris and Top of the World at the Stratosphere. 


July 4th Family Fun

Another one that offers plenty of family-friendly fun just a quick drive from Las Vegas, Henderson, Nevada hosts a full array of July 4th festivities.

Held in Heritage Park, this annual event runs from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm with a fireworks show at 9. This will make it easier for you to do some sightseeing and other celebrating during the day, and then soak up the excitement in the evening.

Enjoy live music and other entertainment, tasty concessions for purchase, and much more. Arrive early to take advantage of the free parking.

Getting In: The Henderson 4th of July Celebration is free to attend. Parking is free, too!


Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade

July 4, 2018

The city’s biggest 4th of July parade is put on every year by the Summerlin City Council.

The parade begins at 9:00 am and runs from Hillpoint and Hills Center, down Hills Center Drive, and concluding at 11:00 am. Arrive early for a good spot along the parade route!

It will be filled with floats, marching bands, dance troupes, veterans’ groups, and lots of entertainment, all participating in this amazing patriotic event.


Wherever you decide to celebrate the Fourth of July this year please remember do not drink and drive.
